Wednesday Late afternoon
So, Caitlyn is quite a bit more alert these days. Sometimes we’re wondering if we want that as it interferes with her care. However, we are taking the feisty nature as a positive. Her xrays show minor improvements. It’s tough to live with slow but steady progress but I guess in life many good things are that way: swimming, tour de hamilton, eating, math questions, Bob and my running pace, etc. It’s sort of a problem with her as getting her up and moving would get the junk flowing in her lungs more but you can’t do that with a tube stuck down your throat hooked up to oxygen. I’ve had pneumonia before and it’s not pleasant. But, give me some antibiotics and pain medicine, a few days in bed and I’m on the road to recovery. This is quite significant pneumonia and I’m certain I haven’t had anything like this.
